I'll take ugly. I wonder if the hype around Peyton Manning will die down some. The main publicity he got was negative talk of how he was just another Dan Marino. (Besides, of course, his commercials.) He was famous for being great but mediocre when it counted most. What this season says to me is that no one person should ever be labeled as can't win or the reason they did win. You can't win unless your team works together. This was the year that it all came together for the colts. And next year will be the second year in a row that it all comes together for the colts. (it slipped) Well, due to the fact that none of the teams I have rooted for have ever won a championship or even played for one since I have been a fan, I am unsure of how to feel or what to do. It makes this win seem very surreal. Now don't get me wrong, I am very happy and am slowly getting used to the idea that we are unquestionably the best team. I will admit with EVERYONE picking the colts to win I was very nervous. Especially reflecting on how EVERYONE also picked the saints to win against the bears and look how that turned out. But apparently the colts new that they were going to win and imposed that knowledge on the bears by controlling the clock and the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball while shattering every stereotype that the colts have ever been labeled with. As soon as the game ended I felt excited for next year. It will be harder but to understand what it takes to get to the Super Bowl and win it makes me think that if we can just get to the playoffs next year (ie. New England after their first, and Pittsburgh this year), we will have an excellent shot at two in a row. Our division looks like it will be a lot tougher next year but who knows. I actually think Tennessee will take a step back despite how everyone else thinks they are gonna be contenders...but that is another story. Thats it for now...Super Bowl Champions.
